Contractors & Suppliers

Before starting any work at Wānaka Airport, you must have an Authority to Work (ATW). 

This lets us know who is on site, what you’re doing, where you’re working, and how risks are being managed. It also helps us coordinate activities and keep track of people on site if something goes wrong.

If you're doing work here, you need an ATW — simple as that.  If you’re unsure, assume the answer is yes.

If you need an Authority to Work, you’ll also need to complete a contractor induction.

This makes sure everyone on site understands how the airport operates, the risks involved, and what’s expected - including things like working around aircraft, managing FOD, and what to do in an emergency.

Once you submit your Authority to Work, we’ll let you know what induction is required, this could be online, in person, or a mix of both.
